What to Include in a Resume?

  • Keep a resume concise but at the same time check if it contains all the essentials: correct contact information, professional summary, skills, experience, education, and personal qualities.
  • It is better to place all your contact information on the top of the page and make sure all information you include is relevant to the position you are applying.
  • Personal Details – Contact details, Visa Status if applicable, LinkedIn details
  • Career Summary & Objectives – 100 -200 word summary
  • Academic Qualifications – Year completed, Title of qual, Institution
  • Employment History – Most recent first. Explain gaps or short durations in roles. Include dates and position titles, responsibilities & achievements
  • Professional Development– Additional training courses & awards, papers presented any relevant PD you have completed
  • Referees – Line Managers
