The Role

We are hiring Residential Youth Workers to assist with a variety of shifts across multiple organisations and locations.

ProCare Australia support a number of Residential Out of Home Care providers within Queensland with Labour Hire, giving you the opportunity to work across a variety of key organisations.

As the need and demand of the Community Services sector continues to grow, ProCare Australia are hiring qualified, experienced, flexible, hard working and passionate Residential Youth Workers to provide trauma informed, strengths based and client centred support to Children and Young People.

Shifts will be offered according to your preferences. Residential Youth Workers must have availability for sleepover shifts and weekend shifts.

Pay Rates

Pay Rates vary depending on the complexity of the shift, and the number of Children / Young People.

• Weekday Rate 6am – 8pm: $46.29 – $51.90 + 11% Super
• Night Rate 8pm – 6am: $51.89 – $58.13 + 11% Super
• Saturday Rate: $64.80 – $72.66 + 11% Super
• Sunday Rate: $93.42 – $93.42 + 11% Super
• Public Holiday Rate: $101.83 – $114.18 + 11% Super
• Sleepover Allowance: $102.86

Location/s

South East Queensland – work is available throughout Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Let us know your location preferences.

To Be Successful:

• Minimum completed Certificate IV level qualification in a Youth / Community Service related field or close to completion of a Degree qualification, with placement experience
• Experience as a Residential Youth Worker is essential
• Experience working with Children and Young People with complex and challenging behaviours
• Experience working with children, young people and/or families
• An understanding of trauma and attachment theories
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills, including repot writing / case notes
• Current Open Driver’s License 
• Current Blue Card (Paid)
• Current National Police Check (Within 12 Months)
• Current First Aid (3 years) and CPR Certificate (12 months)
• A vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance
• Regular availability for day, sleepover and weekend shifts

Desirable:

• Hope and Healing Certificate
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained
• NDIS Worker Screening
• Youth Mental Health First Aid
• Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients
• COVID Vaccination (not essential)
